Art by Glynnis Reed on Display at Atlantic Cape’s Art Gallery Jan. 23-Feb. 21

“Quiet Power: A Retrospective – 1994-2014,” an art exhibit by Glynnis Reed of Egg Harbor Township, will be on display at Atlantic Cape’s newly renovated art gallery Jan. 23 – Feb. 21. The gallery is located in the William Spangler Library at Atlantic Cape’s Mays Landing Campus, 5100 Black Horse Pike. A free “Meet the Artist” reception will be held 1 to 3 p.m., Saturday, Jan. 24, at the gallery.

Reed uses many mediums as her artistic voice. She incorporates photographic media as a tool, while also engaging with photo installation, painting and mixed media collage. Her work, regardless of media, tends to be a highly layered style of subtle visual veiling interwoven with images of nature, and often uses women as subjects in her art. This exhibit showcases paintings, drawings, photographs and digital collages that reflect the broad range of Reed’s talents.
Gallery hours are: 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday-Friday, and 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., Saturdays. The exhibit will be free and open to the public.
